PNTA team members Lee Pegrum and Alexandra Meyrick recently presented Speed networking at the Fresh Challenges Learner Conference.
The aim of Speed networking is to meet many people with just 3 minutes for each pair to tell and sell. It is rather like Speed dating, but without the romance and embarrassment of rejection! 78 Fresh Challenges members took part in an interactive session. Although the main objective was to get experience in networking and practice exchanging information, several participants said that they gained new business leads. The response from the members was very positive, even the non-networkers became confident enough to actually enjoy their conversation.
The conference is part of the Fresh Challenges project led by Kent Business School with the aim to get
women professionally accredited qualifications and
to
offer support in the workplace. For more
